Why Brek
Hotel prices should be lower.
After five years working inside hotel distribution, we believe the price of a comparable room should be pushed down, not marked up at every step between the hotel and the guest.
Same room. A very different price.
In live searches, we sometimes find public prices that are two or three times the wholesale rate. Sometimes the gap is even larger. Not every stay looks like this, but no traveler should have to pay a large distribution spread without seeing it.

A lesson from retail
Low markup can be a durable business model.
Decades ago, warehouse retail showed that a company could resist maximizing the price of every product. Costco built trust by keeping markups disciplined, operating efficiently, and passing more value to its customers.
Brek is not copying a membership model. We are applying the same operating principle to hotels: run lean, charge less, and let the traveler keep more of the savings.
Our model
Wholesale rates, made public.
We make hotel wholesale rates available directly to travelers, then add a 7% markup to the wholesale room rate. Taxes and applicable hotel fees are listed separately so you can see how the total is built.
No subscription. No hidden membership fee. Just a lower hotel price and a transparent way to pay for the service.
Why now
Technology makes it possible to compare more inventory, automate more of the operation, and serve travelers without adding another expensive distribution layer.
That is why, after five years in the hotel industry, we are opening wholesale hotel prices to everyone. Our goal is simple: keep making the markup smaller by making the operation better.
